Department of Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology provides training to medical students in the 3rd and 4th phases of their education. The primary objective of the department is to ensure that students develop awareness about patient safety in anesthesia, recognize possible complications and their management, and acquire fundamental knowledge of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Students are also introduced to the scope and challenges of practicing anesthesia in rural healthcare settings. A total of 10 teaching hours are allocated in the 3rd phase, followed by a one-week clinical bedside training in the 4th phase.
